Rosenborg are enduring a difficult Eliteserien campaign, and their current position reflects a team badly short of consistency, attacking rhythm and confidence.

Alexander Tettey’s side sit 15th in the table with only eight points, leaving them in a worrying position near the bottom of the division. For a club of Rosenborg’s stature, that represents a significant underperformance.

The recent run has done little to calm concerns. Rosenborg have won just one of their last six league matches and have lost three of their previous four, including consecutive defeats against Aalesund and KFUM Oslo.

Bodo/Glimt return to domestic matters after a Champions League campaign that captured attention far beyond Norway.

Kjetil Knutsen’s side stunned the continent during their 2025-26 European run, beating Manchester City and Atletico Madrid in the league phase before overcoming Inter Milan across two legs in the knockout playoffs. Their journey eventually ended against Sporting, but their reputation grew significantly.

Now the focus is back on the Eliteserien title race. Bodo/Glimt are third, five points behind Viking FK, and cannot afford to let the leaders move further away.

The timing of this match suits them. The visitors have won each of their last three league fixtures and arrive after a strong 3-1 victory over Brann.

That momentum makes them clear favourites, although they will have to deal with several absences. International duty and injuries have removed important names from Knutsen’s squad, including Jens Petter Hauge, Patrick Berg, Fredrik Andre Bjorkan, Ulrik Saltnes and Sondre Fet.

Adrian Nilsen Pereira also remains sidelined with a knock and is still several weeks away from first-team action.

Bodo/Glimt are missing several key players due to Norway’s international commitments before their friendly against Sweden.

Jens Petter Hauge, Patrick Berg and Fredrik Andre Bjorkan are all unavailable, removing significant quality from the visitors’ usual setup.
