Chelsea were beaten at Wigan 3–1 while Liverpool and Man Utd earned 3pts each.Liverpool trashed Hull 6–1, while Man Utd won 2–0 at Stoke. Elsewhere in the English Premier League, Blackburn won 2–1 against Aston Villa and Spurs won 5–0 against Burnley.
In the Championship Div, a 2–2 draw for Coventry against Middlesbrough while Swansea won 2–1 against Sheff Utd. West brom were beaten 1–0 by Crystal palace.
In League One Leeds won 1–0 against MK Dons, while Southampton proved to be Draw Banker for Football Pools fans with yet another draw, this time with last Carlise.
In the Scottish Premier League, Rangers drew 0–0 against Aberdeen while Celtic won 2–0 at St Mirren.
