In the Coca Cola Championship Div, Burnley have beaten Sheffield United 1-0 and may have jeopardised Sheffield Utd chances of an automatic promotion while this victory gave the Clarets a giant step towards the play-off.

A header from Martin Paterson,his 18th goal of the season, in the first half at the 23rd minute gave Burnley the lead but also hope for play-off place. Burnely is now fifth with 43 games played with 72pts. Martin Paterson was denied a double when his header was ruled for offside.
