After Liverpool victory at Hull earlier, pressure was on Man Utd to seal a win against Tottenham. In the first half Spurs took the lead but the Red Devils made a stunning comeback after the break to crush Spurs 5-2 and reclaimed the top of the Premier League table with 77pts for 33 games played.

Tottenham took the lead at the 28min from Darren Bent from a Corluka cross that was failed to clear by Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic while 5min later Spurs doubled their lead by a goal from Luka Modric after a cross from Lennon.

At the break Spurs were leading Man Utd 2-0.

After the break, Man Utd came on stronger and started to increase the pressure on Harry Redknapp’s side.

At the 57th minute Cristiano Ronaldo smashed a powerful penalty generously given by Referee Webb into the middle of the net, while ten minute later Rooney scored the equaliser from a Carlos Tevez pass.

Tottenham then seem to have collapsed completely and one minute after the equaliser Man Utd took the lead with a Ronaldo goal from a Rooney crossed.

Tottenham misery continued at the 71th minute when Rooney got his double from a Cristiano Ronaldo cross while eight minute later Dimitar Berbatov continued Spurs crushing with a fabulous goal.

Five goals in 23 minutes has rather turned this game and consolidated Man Utd top place in the English Premier League table.
