Coca-Cola Championship Previews For Sat.25.04.2009

In the Coca Cola Championship this Saturday, the leader Wolverhampton Wanderers could be crowned Championship champions if they win at Barnsley while a point would be enough for Cardiff to secure their play-off chances when they host 9th placed Ipswich Town FC.

Second placed Birmingham City FC will be looking for a win when they host play-off chasing 7th placed Preston to seal their automatic promotion chances in the Premier League next season.

Relegated Charlton with four successive draws will travel to the 18th placed out of form with three successive losses Derby County. Earlier this season Derby drew 2-2 at Charlton.

In an early Kick Off this Saturday,Nottingham Forest FC will have their destiny in their hands when they travel to 17th placed Blackpool. A win for Nottingham at Bloomfield Road and if results from relegation rivals goes their ways, Nottingham will them seal their place in the Championship.

Ten placed Bristol City will be desperate for a win when they host 12th placed Sheffield Wednesday while 15th placed Coventry will host 16th placed Watford.

Third placed Sheffield United will be in search of a win and the whole 3pts when they host play-off chasing 7th placed Swansea City at Bramall Lane while 14th placed Doncaster will host 13th placed Crystal Palace. Both team won theirs last games in the Championship league last week.

QPR will be looking for a win after last week defeat when they travel to 19th placed Plymouth Argyle while Southampton will be desperate to get out of the relegation zone when they host play-off chasing six placed Burnley FC. Earlier Burnley won 3-2 this season.
