Chelsea v/s Liverpool: Preview UEFA Champions Leg Quarter Final 2nd leg

The second Leg of the UEFA Champions League will kick off at 19:45GMT this Tuesday with Chelsea hosting Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.

The first leg saw a stunning Chelsea victory of 3-1.Liverpool will have to overturn a 3-1 deficit at Stamford Bridge.Steven Gerrard was rested on Saturday against Blackburn after a groin injury will be playing this Tuesday.

Liverpool’s manager,Rafael Benitez confirmed on today(Monday) that his skipper was responding to treatment and will travel to London.Benitez said that Steven Gerrard is a key player to Liverpool.

Liverpool manager said that they have the confidence of winning at Stamford Bridge and they have already done it this season and that they have also ended Chelsea long unbeaten home record.But seen then , Chelsea have replaced Brazilian coach Luiz Felipe Scolari with Guus Hiddink.Guus Hiddink is with nine wins in 11 matches in all competitions.

He also added during the pre match press conference that the Istanbul experience will help Liverpool and also Bolton have scored three goals in eight minute at Chelsea on Saturday’s EPL game.

“If we have the fans behind us and can give them something from the beginning, then it would be a very good inspiration.”said Benitez.

Bolton have shown that the Chelsea’s defence was not so impregnable, although Guus Hiddink have taken out Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba.

Chelsea will be without suspended skipper John Terry and it is Ricardo Carvalho, that is expected to replace Terry’ role.

Chelsea’s manager Guss Hiddink said that he has warned his players against Saturday’s performance.”We must not let it happen twice” said Guus Hiddink.
